Sangeeta Mittal is Professor in the Department of English, Maharaja Agrasen College. She has over 30 years of experience of teaching English literature, with the Jacobean Age, Restoration Literature and the Romantics as her core areas. With several research papers, edited books, chapter in books and invited lectures to her credit, her research interests include Urban Studies, Media Studies, Creative Writing, Academic Writing, Travel Writing, Film Studies and Translation Studies. Her dissertation on "Delhi Culture: A Literary Perspective” undertakes an in-depth interdisciplinary analysis of "Delhi Culture" using Cultural, Urban and Memory studies to encapsulate the historical, topical, material and urban aspects of this complex and layered phenomenon. She is WIG Fellow, India’s first fellowship for women in politics. She is Chief Editor of the on-line journal Interdisciplinary Journal of Digital Ubiquitous and Situated Learning. Having been member of organizing committee, chair, paper presenter and invited speaker at Interdisciplinary National Conferences on Biodiversity and Climate Change, City Lives: Spaces and Narratives, Reading Migrations: Fractured Histories, Forged Narratives, Representation of Disability in Literature and Cinema, Covid19 Pandemic: A Crisis of Human Health or Planet Health? and ‘Neath the World’s Roof: Cultural Landscape of Himalayan Communities in the Sub-continent, she is continuing her work on culture and environment with registered NGO INSERCH. With passionate interest in institution building, she has courses in educational leadership to her credit. She has contributed extensively to the corporate life of the College by serving in most portfolios and positions.
